By using Prospr by Sun LifeTM, you confirm that you understand and agree to the following terms and conditions and that you have reviewed our Legal, Privacy, Security and Accessibility content.
Through Prospr by Sun LifeTM, Sun Life Financial Distributors (Canada) Inc. and Sun Life Financial Investment Services (Canada) Inc. (together with their affiliates, “Sun Life”) may provide you with access to a number of online tools that will perform an analysis of your personal and financial goals. This analysis is designed to help you evaluate your life and health insurance, savings and investment needs.The analysis is based on your financial circumstances, goals and obligations, health-related information and on other information that are provided. The analysis is also based on assumptions about interest rates, inflation and other factors. The amount for future income needed is not guaranteed. Changes in the information you provide or in any of the assumptions can increase or decrease the amount of future income needed as calculated in the analysis. It is important to review this analysis with a Prospr by Sun LifeTM advisor before purchasing any product or service; you should also review this analysis on a regular basis as your needs evolve and as interest rates, inflation and other economic conditions change.
You acknowledge that by providing personal information about your spouse or partner and other dependents, you have obtained their consent to disclose their information to us.
To offer you personalized products and services, we may use your personal information to contact you about marketing and promotional opportunities relating to Prospr by Sun LifeTM or our partners. You can stop receiving these notices by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the email sent to you.
You may also be asked to send documents to a Prospr by Sun LifeTM advisor by secure email. You confirm that all documents are accurate and authentic and may be relied on by Sun Life.
We may charge you a fee for the use of the online tools. You will be made aware of and asked to agree to any such fees before they are charged.
Use of Prospr by Sun LifeTM is voluntary. You can discontinue using it at any time. However, if you purchase a product through a Prospr by Sun LifeTM advisor, you will be required to provide information to complete ongoing suitability reviews, needs analyses and other updates required by law.
You confirm that you are a Canadian resident.
Requests for mutual fund transactions received after 2 p.m. ET on regular trading days (Monday to Friday, with the exception of statutory holidays) will be processed the next business day. Advisors are not permitted to act on instructions received from Clients by email, text or other electronic means. Upon receipt of any electronic instruction from a Client, advisors must verbally authenticate that the electronic instructions were sent by the Client prior to making any changes to their account or submission of trade instructions.
Sun GIC Max, our non-redeemable Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) requires your investment to stay invested until the maturity date but offers a higher interest rate than our redeemable option. Our redeemable GIC allows you to access some or all of your money if you need it before the maturity date (however a market value adjustment (MVA) will apply).
If you fund your deposit by way of cheque, we may hold your money for up to 4 business days if the amount of the deposit does not exceed $1,500, and for up to 7 business days if the amount is greater than $1,500. We may hold your funds for an additional day if you did not deposit the cheque in person.
If you choose to access the first $100 following a cheque deposit, we will process your request within the same business day. If you did not deposit the cheque in person, processing may take an additional business day.
